March 2008 looks to be the month of the PSP in North America, as Square Enix today announced a March 25th release date for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Crisis Core, which we called the "most polished Final Fantasy VII spinoff yet" in our import impressions, serves as a prequel to the beloved 1997 PSone RPG. Final Fantasy VII will be the second mega-franchise to hit the PSP in March, following the March 4th release of God of War: Chains of Olympus.
Also announced for a March 2008 release is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for Nintendo DS, which is expected on March 11th. Ring of Fates follows the 2004 release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for GameCube, which we rather enjoyed. Check out our hands-on preview from the E for All Expo for more on this multiplayer-focused extension to the Crystal Chronicles brand.

Personal Opinion:For what i could see in the trailer the game looks very good for a psp game.Once again Squaresoft grabed itīs most succesefull Final Fantasy game ever and developed the story even further. That is a good thing on one hand but on the other hand some of us are getting tired of these constant Final Fantasy 7 spinoff games.Still the game looks good and the battle sistem seems similar to the one in Kingdom Hearts wich is a good thing.I have not played the game myself but taking in consideration what i saw and what i read i would give this game a 8.5/10
